HOLISTIC COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
I have been co-creating spiritually supportive community since 2007. Spurred by my own spiritual emergence and a major life transition I joined with friends Edward Wertz, and Kelsey Markham with the intent to create a safe space for people interested in living an authentic and holistic lifestyle to gather, develop conscious and healthy relationships, and learn from each other’s experiences.
HOPE (Holistic Options for People Everywhere) was first founded in May 2007 in Lubbock, Texas as The H.O.P.E. Association. Since it’s inception in 2007 HOPE has hosted four free city-wide holistic health expos, a local radio show dedicated to educating Lubbock citizens about holistic health, 120 consecutive monthly community potluck dinners, conducted many educational programs, talks, and fun opportunities for friends and family to connect, share, and join in loving communication. Over 800 people attended HOPE events over a 10 year period.
As my work has expanded nationally and internationally, I have realized how hungry people are for just what we had in Lubbock, Texas with HOPE. While social media has forever changed our lives and has given us the opportunity to find like minded people from all over the world, mobilize millions for important work, and created intimate friendships, people still feel isolated and lonely in their local city.
In 2020 I will be creating a training series to empower people around the world in creating their own local holistic communities. Stay tuned for more!! Each community has its own unique needs and I will guide you to discover those needs and create strategic solutions to create the community your heart desires!
